Watch: Home Travel – Frequent Flyer

Home Travel is a duo featuring Will Farrier from Absolute Boys and Johann Rashid, who also plays in Eastlink and directs films like Autonomy and Deliberation. They’ve got a debut EP called My Shadow releasing through M-Division in December, and ‘Frequent Flyer’ will feature on it.

It’s a pretty interesting collaboration, especially if you’ve kept an eye on what Farrier’s been doing since his earliest band Ohana. Home Travel kinda fulfills a lot of the promise which, for me at least, Absolute Boys never did. Dub inclinations are filtered through strange spectral synths rather than reverberated and reedy guitar notes, and there’s an air of ominous mystery that makes this otherwise straightforward, lopsided dance tune very interesting with repeat listens. Definitely keen to hear the EP.
