If you ever wondered what might happen if Total Control pursued their electronic inclinations more thoroughly, than Lace Curtain may be the answer. Featuring two parts Total Control in Mikey Young and James Vinciguerra, ‘Good Intentions’ is from a forthcoming EP on DFA Records, of all places. It may sate TC fans who wanted more material in the vein of Pyre Island, though this track sounds more indebted to the recently-exhumed minimal/cold wave aesthetic than the proto-techno stylings we’ve heard from TC before. Whatever the case, it’s strange and excellent, so listen.
