This is some severely corrupted noise from Brisbane. Throes is a one-man project helmed by Nick Williams, and alone he creates very unpleasant static-led ambience, over which he sometimes sings/mutters. It’s pretty primitive stuff, though it’s emphatically digital in construction. His first release comes in the form of Coronach. Coronach is some kind of improvised Scottish death singing according to Wikipedia, which is pretty brutal, I guess. I doubt it ever sounded like this though, ie nasty.
The album comprises two tracks and will release on cassette at some stage according to the artist’s Facebook page. Alternatively you can buy it digitally for anywhere between $0 and $1,000,000 on Throes’ Bandcamp page.
