Sometimes song titles are facts too. This holds true for The Friendsters’ new B-side, entitled ‘Revenge is the Best Revenge’, which comes from a forthcoming limited edition 7 inch set for release through Eternal Soundcheck. Limited to 100 copies, it follows the trio’s UP2 cassette through Heavy Lows last year.

Judging by the track below, Lincoln Brown’s (Housewives) recording job provides a lot more clarity to The Friendsters’ dark, rough-at-the-edges guitar pop, which (dare I say) sounds a lot closer to the spirit of grunge than the cassette did. It’s still uncompromisingly negative though, which is the main thing.
