Nth Wheel taps into a kind of fated ‘loserdom’ very (perennially?) popular in underground Australian rock music. Kitchen’s Floor is resigned to it, Bed Wettin’ Bad Boys fear it, and Dick Diver dreams of a world that can accommodate it. Nth Wheel fits into the first category, though it doesn’t quite have the pop smarts of Matt Kennedy. Instead, Nth Wheel II is a drowsy, rambling and despairing snapshot of adulthood with no direction at all.
‘Air Lift’ comes from Nth Wheel II, a new cassette limited to 50 copies through Do Your Block records.
